Perla Nunes

Perla Nunes, Community Outreach Director, A native of Ecuador, Perla Nunes has over 30 years in pre-clinical and clinical research. Her research career began at Hoffman-LaRoche where she worked in drug discovery. In NC she worked at the Cannon Research Center of Atrium Health focusing on preclinical and clinical research areas related to oncology and immunology. From 2009-2020 Ms. Nunes worked at Duke University overseeing community engagement, outreach, recruitment, and retention efforts of diverse patient populations for clinical research studies.
