Hero’s Journey Art: Sculpture Unveiling

April 4, 2019 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

FREE

Greater Gift, is proud to bring “Departure”, part of the Hero’s Journey™ Art project, to Winston-Salem. The Hero’s Journey™ Art Project was a collaboration initiated by Eli Lilly and Company and the clinical trial community to honor clinical trial participants and raise awareness for the importance of participation. Lilly commissioned artist John Magnan to build crowdsourced sculptures to call attention to the importance of clinical research and launch a unique means of connecting and sharing clinical research stories. Patients, caregivers, physicians and scientists shared their thoughts and feelings about clinical research through personalized wooden “bricks”. More than 1,000 of these decorated wooden bricks were used to form three Hero’s Journey Art sculptures.

The evening will focus on clinical research awareness, with a panel discussion that includes key insights from pharma, healthcare and a patient. In addition, we will have three break-out sessions that include relevant topics and discussion centered on technology advancements in research, career development in clinical research and the importance of clinical trial participation.

We are excited to welcome “Departure” to our city through an evening centered around clinical research in partnership with Venture Café of Winston-Salem.
